Which game mode should I start with?

New players usually start with Classic: pick an era and a difficulty, look at the picture, and name the battle with up to four hints. If you only have a few minutes, the Daily Challenge gives everyone the same five battles once a day and tracks your streak.

Year mode drops the image and asks when a named battle was fought, so it suits players who know their timelines. Campaign walks through one period at a time with story text between missions, which is the best way to learn an era you do not know yet. Challenge lets you send a link so a friend plays the exact same battles and you compare scores.
